Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, born July 23 1970 was an American actress. Her character was Cordelia Chase, a supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and the spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also starred in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas and Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell and Lacy in The Lying Game (2012–2013 strong>).
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter of Christine Carpenter, working in the bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High school in Las Vegas. she was also a member of a group of dancers and singers that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was just nine years old.
When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico. She then moved to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe after her graduation. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a clerk at a video store as well as an aerobics instructor and as a property manager. In 1991, she worked as a cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers football team In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.
In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them with a gun. In the course of the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were shot, forcing him to flee the scene; both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 years prison term for a series of rapes, thefts. Carpenter grabbed Hubbard's flashlight an official police flashlight, off the beach. He left it on the beach. The flashlight proved to be an important piece of evidence in the case against Hubbard.
Carpenter was listed as No. 31 on the AskMen's top 99 Most Wanted Women 2002[30[30.] as well as No. 44 in their ranking for 2005. But, Carpenter has stated she is not the sex symbol. Carpenter was in the cover story as well as in a ten-page naked photo shoot in the June 2004 issue. When she was asked by People magazine in 2005 whether she would ever pose for Playboy once more, she answered, "I don't know. Playboy was something that I did to fulfill a specific goal.
